Timberset’s solid timber walls are made of precisely machined 45mm thick interlocking pine planks, used in conjunction with our specially designed aluminium columns, providing structural walls that can be utilised in a variety of building applications. The most common application of our system is to build homes in cold climates of Australia. This requires the addition of a thermally effective layer, between the structural wall and the external cladding. Add this to a thermally effective sub-floor and roof and our homes are comfortable to live in and cheap to run.
Yes, Timberset is a proven system. Timberset homes have been built all around Australia for over 30 years, with the system adapting to meet requirements of the building code over that time.
Timberset homes are primarily built using solid timber construction. As a natural product Timber breathes and has been proven to reduce in-home moisture, improve stress levels and mood.
Timberset offers a large range of external finishes and claddings, providing a variety of looks and styles, from classical to modern. We like the Weathertex range of claddings because of their green credentials and variety of styles.
Other options include: Colourbond, Rustic Stone, Stratum cement fibre boards, Rammed earth and Rendered polystyrene boards.

A unique feature of a Timberset home is that you can enjoy the exposed timber throughout. Or if you'd prefer, you can use a combination of plaster and timber. However we believe you’ll love the feeling of well-being and harmony that timber imbues. There’s also some beautiful looks that can be created. Yes. Timberset offers a range of standard designs, or will can help you with your own design. We also work in conjunction with architects that will design a home that best suits your needs.
Yes, subject to the conditions of your block. You will need to consider a range of things before being ready to build, such as provision of power and water and a BAL (Bush attack level) assessment. Ask us about our Site Assessment service which will provide you with a report on important considerations and how to make the most of your site’s attributes.

Timberset’s standard external cladding is suitable up to BAL 29. A more limited range of cladding options are available for higher BAL levels. Windows, fly-screens and other building materials will also need to meet the relevant BAL requirements.
Our building system means our buildings are generally quicker to construct than other building systems due to majority of components being finely machined and constructed in our factory. We strive to have your home completed within three months, weather permitting.
These are routed invisibly through the walls, down the corners, or up through the floor. It’s easiest to make provision for services when the building is in the early stages, so planning is important. We work closely with plumbers and electricians to ensure a high quality finish.
Our homes are built all over Australia, sometimes by owner builders, but more commonly by builders commissioned to build our homes on our behalf. We can supply a building pack and provide documentation and on-call support for complete and partial builds. Timberset also integrates well with standard and alternative building formats.
